ADMISSIONS TIMELINE
Below are a list of important dates for students interested in applying to private, charter or other special high schools. 

OCTOBER

OCTOBER 1:  High School Fair, 5:00-7:30pm at The Learning Community

• For 8th grade students only
• All families should come with their child
• 16 charter, private, and catholic schools will be in attendance

OCTOBER 19: Classical Entrance Exam, 8:30-1:00 

• Ms. Lindsay will register all Providence residents for the Classical exam
• Location: 770 Westminster Street, Providence, 02903  (click here for a map)
• Bring a drink, snack, and TWO #2 pencils

NOVEMBER

• Register for the Catholic Placement Test on 12/7/13. The registration form will
  be included in the admissions packet
• Call schools you are interested in and set up an appointment to spend a whole day at that school
• Catholic school applications are due before the placement test on 12/7/13

DECEMBER

• Complete financial aid applications for private schools (The earlier, the better!)
• Complete all applications for private schools
• Apply to Providence Public School magnet programs
  
  

December 7: Catholic High School Placement Test, 8:00-12:30

• Student must take the test at his/her first choice catholic school
• Bring two #2 pencils & a snack
• Make up test day on December 14th

December 14: Catholic High School Placement Test Make Up Day

March 3: Most charter schools hold their admission lotteries.
